As a Division of UW-Madison, Extension is following the lead of UW-Madison leadership in responding to the COVID-19 virus outbreak, in conjunction with public health and county officials. The latest guidance from UW-Madison and local government is to limit on-site work in addition to postponing events. This guidance is in reaction to a worldwide event whose impact is growing in our area and to ensure our communities are as safe as possible.
To mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to protect the health and safety of our communities, Extension staff are transitioning to telecommuting and remote delivery of our programming. This move is consistent with public health guidance to limit exposure. Our staff who are able to work remotely will begin doing so. We are working with staff who cannot work remotely to accommodate their situations. Social distancing and preventing potential infections are key areas we can help with to hopefully curtail the impacts of this outbreak. Guidance from UW-Madison is for staff to work remotely as possible through at least April 10.
Please contact our office at 920-929-3170 or email the educators (staff director) instead of coming into the office. We are practicing social distancing and our office may not be open to the public.
Thank you for your understanding.
