Dairy Project

Dairy Judging

Dairy Judging is a great opportunity to help 4-H youth sharpen their skills on decision making, build confidence in public speaking, and building relationships with their peers. We have a few practices scheduled below, with more to be announced at later dates. In addition, the Area Animal Science Days competition will be Tuesday, June 30th, 2026 in Clark County. *Please bring a notebook and a pen or pencil to practice.*

Please register and complete the following requirements by March 28, 2026, if attending in person.

  • Market Livestock Scholarship is due April 15, 2026
  • Show Camp Grant Application is due April 15, 2026
  • Market beef, market hog, market lamb, and meat goat self-identification submission must be submitted by 11:59 pm on April 15, 2026 (includes breeding stock)

Shooting Sports – Archery

2026 Meetings – Tuesdays & Thursdays in May at Izaak Walton League, N6491 Co Rd K, Fond du Lac

  • Dates: May 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, & 28
  • Cost: $2.00 per night for each session
  • Parents are encouraged to stay for the classes to assist our certified shooting sports leaders. Attendance at the first class is particularly important for receiving essential instructions and background information.
  • Call to Action: We are in need of more shooting sports volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Tracy at (920) 906-4625 or email tracy.keifenheim@wisc.edu

Small Animal Project Meeting

Sunday, April 19, at 3:00 pm at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in the barn

Educational Opportunity

Volunteer Lori Quackenboss will be hatching silkie chicks at Ascension Lutheran Church (901 Cty Rd V, FDL) and there are several opportunities to be involved:

  • Egg Candling – Check for viable eggs on May 7th at 6:00pm. Members in Small Animal projects can earn 1 educational point by attending the egg candling. Attendees are responsible for submitting their points.
  • Hatching Day – Come (hopefully) see some of the chicks hatch on May 15th between 11am-12:30pm or 6-6:30pm
  • All potential chicks are spoken for at this time. If you have any questions, contact Lori at 920-517-8172.
