Dairy ID Entry for Fair

As you begin thinking about your fair entries, please remember that you will also need to complete a Dairy ID for each animal that you enter using the link below.  This information is required to be on record by the county and will be used to create the FDL County Fair Dairy Show Catalog. Dairy IDs are due by June 17, 2026.

Dairy Judging

Dairy Judging is a great opportunity to help 4-H youth sharpen their skills on decision making, build confidence in public speaking, and building relationships with their peers. We have a few practices scheduled below, with more to be announced at later dates. In addition, the Area Animal Science Days competition will be Tuesday, June 30th, 2026 in Clark County. *Please bring a notebook and a pen or pencil to practice.*

Mandatory Orientation – April 2, 2026 at 5:00pm at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Rec Center
Do not bring dogs to this meeting.

Swine/Sheep/Goat Barn Pen Set Up

Barn Display Set Up

Absolutely NOBODY will be allowed in the barns beforehand.

  • Monday, July 13 – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

MANDATORY MLC Fair Meeting with Mr. Pinchart

If the meeting is missed, the exhibitor must discuss the agenda with Mr. Pinchart.

  • Tuesday, July 14 – 3:00 p.m. – Cow Palace

Fair Weigh Ins

According to the Fair Book, there is absolutely NO unloading before the weigh-in time for swine, goats, sheep, and lambs.

Tuesday, July 14

  • Swine – 7:00-10:00am – Sheep/goat/swine barn
    • Need health certificate done within 30 days of the fair.
    • All animals including breeding stock must be checked in.
  • Beef – 9:00-11:00am – Beef barn – southeast corner
  • Sheep/Goat – 11:00am-12:00pm – Sheep/goat/swine barn

A Special Final Drive

A Special Final Drive participants will have the opportunity to experience showing a pig, market goat, or lamb! Mentors will receive two Market Livestock points for their efforts. Points will be applied to their 2027 points.

WHO: Market Livestock Exhibitors interested in mentoring an individual with an intellectual or physical disability to show a pig, market goat or lamb.
WHEN: Saturday, July 18, 2026

4:45 pm – Workshop – How to Mentor an Individual with Special Needs
5:10 Mentors, Animal and Participants Meet and Greet
5:15 Mentor youth and dinner
6:15 Group picture (All participants and mentors)

Shooting Sports – Archery

2026 Meetings – Tuesdays & Thursdays in May at Izaak Walton League, N6491 Co Rd K, Fond du Lac

  • Dates: May 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, & 28
  • Cost: $2.00 per night for each session
  • Parents are encouraged to stay for the classes to assist our certified shooting sports leaders. Attendance at the first class is particularly important for receiving essential instructions and background information.
  • Call to Action: We are in need of more shooting sports volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Tracy at (920) 906-4625 or email tracy.keifenheim@wisc.edu

Small Animals

Small Animal Project Meeting

Monday, June 15 at 6:30pm – Project Meeting at the Small Animal Barn at the County Fairgrounds. Please come if you need help with fair entries and other pre-fair information!

Saturday, June 27, at 9am – Mandatory Small Animal Barn Set Up at the County Fairgrounds. This is MANDATORY to show and sell at the Fair. Please reach out to the project committee at fdlsmallanimal@gmail.com if unable to attend.

Tuesday, July 7 at 6:30pm – Project Meeting at the Small Animal Barn at the County Fairgrounds. This is a great opportunity to grow showmanship skills for poultry and rabbits before fair! The points will count towards the 26-27 year.
