Barn Display Set Up

Absolutely NOBODY will be allowed in the barns beforehand.

MANDATORY MLC Fair Meeting with Mr. Pinchart

If the meeting is missed, the exhibitor must discuss the agenda with Mr. Pinchart.

Fair Weigh Ins

According to the Fair Book, there is absolutely NO unloading before the weigh-in time for swine, goats, sheep, and lambs.

Tuesday, July 14

• Swine – 7:00-10:00am – Sheep/goat/swine barn
  • Need health certificate done within 30 days of the fair.
  • All animals including breeding stock must be checked in.
• Beef – 9:00-11:00am – Beef barn – southeast corner
• Sheep/Goat – 11:00am-12:00pm – Sheep/goat/swine barn

Meat Animal Sale

Thursday, July 16

• 4:00 p.m. – Buyers’ Reception & Meal begins in the large tent located west of the Cow Palace
• 4:30 p.m. – Scholarship presentations & Friends and Businesses of MLC presentation
• 4:45 p.m. – Pre-Sale Announcements
• 5:00 p.m. – National anthem, immediately followed by the Meat Animal Sale
  We will be using the following schedule this year. Please review the updated order of events below:
  • First 2 auction items with proceeds going to MLC Scholarship Fund.
  • Grand & Reserve Champion Animals
  • Remaining 3 auction items with proceeds going to MLC Scholarship Fund.
  • Blue Ribbon Animals

  • Remainder of MLC Meat Sale (Red, White & Pink ribbons)

A Special Final Drive

A Special Final Drive participants will have the opportunity to experience showing a pig, market goat, or lamb! Mentors will receive two Market Livestock points for their efforts. Points will be applied to their 2027 points.

WHO: Market Livestock Exhibitors interested in mentoring an individual with an intellectual or physical disability to show a pig, market goat or lamb.
WHEN: Saturday, July 18, 2026

Carcass Contests

• Beef carcass contest – Tuesday, July 21, 7 p.m. at Beck’s Meat Market, 519 Clairville Road, Oshkosh
• Swine carcass contest – Wednesday, July 22, 7 p.m. at Loehr’s Meat Market, 523 E Main Street, Campbellsport
• Each event will count for two educational points for the 2027 fair! Don’t forget to fill out the 2027 point submission Google form after attending each event.

Meetings – Tuesdays & Thursdays in May at Izaak Walton League, N6491 Co Rd K, Fond du Lac

• 2027 Dates: TBD
• Cost: $2.00 per night for each session
• Parents are encouraged to stay for the classes to assist our certified shooting sports leaders. Attendance at the first class is particularly important for receiving essential instructions and background information.

Barn Duty Sign-Up

Each exhibitor is asked to complete at least one barn duty shift. Responsibilities include sweeping floors, watering animals, answering fairgoer questions, upholding barn rules, and assisting with any additional needs as directed by the Small Animal Committee or Superintendent. Sign up here
