Reasons to Test Through This Program:

  • Understand Risk: Testing reveals what, if any, contaminants are in your drinking
  • Your Children’s Health: Kids, especially babies and pregnant women, are more vulnerable to certain
  • Increased Confidence in Water Quality: If sampling results show no problems, you can feel more comfortable using your well If there are health-related contaminants present, we can teach you ways to improve well water safety.

Register by on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, online or at the Town Hall, N3349 Oak Center Rd., Oakfield
Register and pay for the sampling options(s) of your choice. Payment can be done with a check to UW-Extension or with a credit card online (search “Oakfield” at Eventbrite.com). Please note the nominal fee for credit card transactions. Registrations and payments by check will also be accepted in person during voting hours (7am – 8pm) at the Town Hall on Tuesday, April 4.
Pick Up Bottles & Instructions on Election Day: Tuesday, April 4, 2017,  7am – 8pm
During voting hours (7am – 8pm), register and pay for the sampling program in person (if you haven’t online). All participants will pick up bottles and instructions.
Sampling Time A: Take the Sample on Monday, April 10, 2017, after 2pm. Read sampling instructions and take samples after 2pm. Refrigerate the sample (do not freeze) and bring it to the Town Hall between 6pm – 8pm. The Town Board Meeting starts at 7pm.
Sampling Time B: Take the sample in the morning of Tuesday, April 11, 2017
Read sampling instructions and take samples first thing in the morning. Refrigerate the sample (do not freeze) and bring it to the Town Hall by 9:00am.
Receive Results in the Mail toward the end of April 2017 Individual test results will be mailed to participants. Note: The UW-Oshkosh lab will call if results reveal any contamination immediately hazardous to your health.
Attend Educational Program  Thursday, May 4th, 2017,
7-8:30pm
 UW-Extension and local experts will hold a meeting at the Town Hall in May to show the area results and discuss what they mean. This program will be held at the Town Hall. Bring questions.
