
Andrew “Andy” Wilson recently joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension as the Community Development Educator serving Fond du Lac County. Andy brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, partnership development, and capacity building across both domestic and international settings.
Prior to joining Extension, Andy worked in community development and philanthropic partnership roles focused on supporting nonprofit organizations, strengthening community collaboration, and creating sustainable systems for long-term impact. His work has included strategic planning, grant development, volunteer engagement, nonprofit capacity building, and cross-sector partnership facilitation with community organizations, businesses, and local leaders.
Andy holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and is passionate about helping communities identify strengths, build meaningful partnerships, and develop practical solutions to local challenges. He is especially interested in community-driven collaboration, organizational sustainability, and connecting people and resources in ways that create measurable impact.
Originally from Wisconsin, Andy is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys technology, creative problem solving, and 3D design and printing in his free time. He is a proud father of a teenage daughter, and the happy husband of Ana. He looks forward to connecting with organizations, leaders, and residents throughout Fond du Lac County.
