Over the past three weeks, Fond du Lac Extension’s new Community Development Educator Andy Wilson has focused on meeting with local organizations, community leaders, and partners to better understand current initiatives, needs, and opportunities across the county.
As part of this work, Extension has begun developing a community asset mapping project using a customized visualization tool created by Wilson. The project helps identify which organizations are working in specific focus areas, where strong collaboration already exists, and where service gaps or overlapping efforts may occur.
This process will help Extension and community partners make more informed decisions, strengthen coordination, and ensure future programming is targeted, collaborative, and responsive to local needs.
