Milk Quality from the Udder World is a certification program that builds confident, effective trainers who can lead their teams to implement best practices. Participants learn how to explain the why behind each step of the milking routine, coach teams to work consistently, and develop the skills needed to prevent mastitis and produce high-quality milk. To earn the certification, participants must complete two components:
- Self-paced online course (about 2 hours) – must be completed before attending the workshop: The course includes five interactive modules covering milk quality, udder anatomy and function, and strategies to maintain healthy udders. Participants will receive the access link within one week after registration. All modules must be completed before the in-person workshop.
- One-day, in-person workshop (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.): Participants practice hands-on skills and strengthen their ability to train, communicate, and provide feedback to their teams. The workshop runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and includes lunch. Participants also receive laminated handouts for on-farm use and a certificate.
The cost of the certification is $95.
