4-H Teen Leaders Association

Members of the 4-H Teen Leaders Association (TLA) provide and promote leadership, service, and recreational activities for 4-H teens, in addition to promoting 4-H to potential new 4-H members.

Any 4-H member who has completed the 6th grade can join.  Members are expected to attend at least 10 activities per program year, which includes:

  • Meetings
  • Leadership Roles for TLA events
  • Community Service Project
  • Committee Meeting
  • Coordinating a Recreational Activity

Meetings

Meetings are held monthly on the 4th Monday of every month at the Rolling Meadows Meeting Room.  Meetings begin at 6:45 p.m. and generally end by 8:15 pm. Snacks or meals are provided at most meetings.

Activities

TLA plans various activities throughout the year. The youth plan community service, recreation and educational opportunities each month. Some of these take place during the monthly meetings, and other activities are scheduled outside of the normal group meeting time.

Some activities include:

  • Fondy Sports Park
  • Making blankets for Project Linus
  • Bowling
  • Roller skating
  • Dock Spiders Game
  • K-9 Unit Demonstration
  • Meal Making for Loaves and Fishes
